Unfortunately many women do not choose the bra that is correct for them. When they become pregnant and their body changes their bra should change as well. The correct bra is not only important to your comfort but it is also an important factor in the way your clothes fit.
A bra that does not fit correctly can cause backaches as well as popping buttons! When you realize that you are pregnant you should begin to look for a bra that has good support and is comfortable as well.
We carry three of the top selling bras Bella Materna, Bravado!, and Japanese Weekend. You can call to ask our sales associates how to correctly measure yourself for the right bra. Here are a few guidelines that you should know to measure for your new bra.
In order to determine your bra size you need to measure around your chest, which is located just under your arms and above your bust. First, while already wearing a bra, you should use a tape measure around your chest, across your bust. You should not pull the tape measure tightly, and it should just be taut. The number you receive will be your bra size, if it is as odd number add one inch. If you want to double check the size you can measure around your rib cage and add five inches to that number, unless that number is greater than thirty three; if it is add three inches. For example, if you measure around your rib cage and the number is thirty, you should add five, and your bra size is thirty-five. Since it is an odd number you need to add one. If your rib measurement is thirty-three, you need to add three, therefore making your bra measurement thirty-six.
When purchasing a bra you should ensure that the cup size is correct also. If your breast does not stay in the cup, either in the front or the sides you need to go up one size cup. If there are wrinkles in the fabric of the cup you should try the next cup size down. Remember that a bra needs to be comfortable as well as offer you good support so make sure to take the time to measure and try the bra on before purchasing.
